I’m a first-generation Australian Chinese woman and a qualified Shiatsu Therapist, Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Level 1 Yoga teacher.

I grew up on the East Coast of Australia. My journey into Eastern healing therapies, philosophy and practice began 20 years ago while travelling in Southern Thailand when I heard about a 10 day Vipassana Buddhist meditation retreat at Wat Suan Mokkh. I was 21, curious, and openly seeking deeper meaning in life. I had no idea that experience would shape my whole adult life, which I have spent studying and practicing Yoga, meditation, Shiatsu, Chinese Medicine and Oriental nutrition, Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

I completed my Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine qualifications in Melbourne in 2012 and in 2015 moved to Perth with my husband and young son. Now, with my family, I practice for part of the year on a mobile basis in regional communities throughout Western Australia.

Over the years I’ve developed a particular interest in the connection between mind, body and breath and the integration of Shiatsu, yoga, meditation, food therapy and connection to country and nature as a pathway to whole, healthy living.

My approach as a therapist and teacher is warm, compassionate and attentive.

As a mother, I’ve personally experienced the way Shiatsu, yoga, Chinese Herbal Medicine and dietary therapy can support mothers through pregnancy, childbirth and in the post natal period. I love sharing this knowledge with pregnant women and mothers, knowing this ripples out to benefit their children and families.

I also love all aspects of food growing, harvesting and cooking, and continue to discover the power of food as medicine that we engage with everyday.

Together with my family, I am inspired by the principles and practices of slow living, simplicity, permaculture, regenerative agriculture and systems change, Indigenous cultures, radical homemaking and peaceful embodiment.

I completed my Level 1 yoga teacher training in 2021 with Wisdom Yoga Institute in Perth. After 20 years of on-off personal yoga practice, stepping onto the path of teaching felt like coming home. Yoga lights up my life and teaching for me is another avenue to support others to deepen their body-mind-spirit connection.
